Whilst in Amsterdam for a short visit I dined at a fabulous restaurant called 'R21', the cheese I ate at the restaurant was divine and so I asked where it came from and I was told "Fromagerie Abraham Kef". The very next day I visited Abraham Kef's and bought 4 varieties of cheese (Lazuli, Tynjetaler, Blokje Gewassen Korst and De Jong - Belegen) to take back home with me to enjoy over Christmas. The shop is not a 'stocked' with as many varieties as some other cheese shops in Amsterdam but the staff are friendly and the cheese amazing. Well worth a visit if you love your cheese.
We came in here looking for some Dutch cheese to take home, and were very glad we decided to stop by this place! Martijn was incredibly helpful in recommending several amazing cheeses. Do yourself a favor and ignore the touristy cheese shops and check out Fromagerie Abraham Kef!
Advised to try this cheese shop as it has a wide range, not just the mass-produced infused gouda cheese seen on practically every street in the centre of Amsterdam. Staff were very helpful, and I came away with several different Dutch cheese plus some sweet treats. It's definitely worth the walk and / or tram ride out of the centre.
This place is awesome. I bought five different types of cheeses with the help of the staff. Highly recommend the truffle Brie. They also have a reasonably priced cheese and wine pairing special at their location across the river.
The staff recommended some of the best cheese I've ever had in my life based upon our palate. They were kind and helpful even though we arrived near closing time. The cheeses are excellent and priced very well. I would visit multiple times a week if I lived in Amsterdam
Very kind staff, and helped me a lot on choosing the the cheese because I am going to the Gym and do some sports, also they told me a lot of useful information about anything I asked for.

An incredible experience! Not your tourist place. So many choices of cheeses from all over Holland, as well as other countries. I brought home 3 Dutch cheeses. Ask them to vacuum pack so you can bring back to the United States. They have 3 stores, I went to Marnixstraat 192. They only take credit or debit cards. No cash.

the staff is really helpful. I don't know much about cheese, but the staff kindly explained to me one by one and gave me some good selection. you can buy from 100g and card only.
